Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 Manchester United: Spurs Crush United with Quick-fire Second Half Goals + Match Highlights

A quick-fire second half goals from Tottenham Hotspur saw them record a 3-0 victory over Manchester United in their Premier League clash on Sunday.

The opening exchanges between the sides were cagey as neither wanted to commit too many bodies forward, but Spurs soon turned up the heat.

Eriksen came close to finding the back of the net in the 26th minute when he drilled a shot from distance but it went just wide of David De Gea's post. The Spaniard was not best pleased with his defenders.

A couple of minutes later Spurs should have been ahead as Erik Lamela was picked out at the far post by Eriksen, but the Argentine somehow headed wide from two yards out.

Kyle Walker also had an opening shortly thereafter but missed out when he tried to shoot instead of sending it on for Harry Kane in the box.

The sides went into the break level at 0-0, but Spurs came out all guns blazing again after the restart with Eriksen and Dier forcing good saves from an embattled De Gea.

The United goalkeeper kept his side level once again when Rose's shot took a deflection off Juan Mata and threatened to sneak past him.

However, the pressure finally broke the defence as Spurs took the lead in the 70th minute. Eriksen created the chance with a terrific ball across the face of goal, and Bamidele Alli was on hand to slot it.

The lead was doubled only four minutes later. Lamela swung in a free kick into a dangerous area and Toby Alderweireld did the rest with a glancing header past De Gea.

Tottenham then netted their third in five minutes as Lamela secured the three points by directing Rose's cross home with a first-time shot.

The hosts had a few more chances to further extend their advantage but De Gea pulled off some clutch saves to keep the scoreline down.
