Nigerians should expect Cloudy, Rainy Weather Conditions For Monday – NIMET




'The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted cloudy to partly cloudy weather conditions over the central states of the country on Monday morning.

The predictions are contained in the Weather Outlook issued by NiMet’s Central Forecast Office (CFO) on Sunday in Abuja.

It stated that there would be early morning moderate chances of thunderstorms and prospect of thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening hours with night time temperatures of 22 to 27 degrees Celsius.

The agency predicted cloudy morning over the coastal and inland cities in the morning hours.

It added that Port Harcourt, Lagos, Ibadan, Enugu, Akure, Awka yenagoa calabar, Eket and warri would experience thunderstorms later in the day with night time temperatures of 23 to 26 degrees Celsius.

NiMet also predicted that northern cities of Maiduguri, Sokoto, Yelwa, Gombe and Yola would experience cloudy and partly cloudy conditions with prospect of localised thundery and rain in the afternoon and evening hours.

It added that the region would have night time temperatures of 24 to 29 degrees Celsius.

According to the prediction, the central and northern cities will still be favorable for weather activities as influx of moisture over the regions are sustained within the forecast period. (NAN)
